1914-15 TRIO & MEMORIAL PLAQUE.COMPLETE WITH BOXES OF ISSUE, CONDOLENCE SLIPS & BUCKINGHAM PALACE SLIP TO, 5155.SJT.J.DONNELLEY / DONNELLY.BORDER.REGT. JAMES DONNELLY WAS A MEMBER OF THE 6TH SERVICE BATTALION OF THE BORDER REGIMENT & FIRST LANDED IN THEATRE OF WAR 2B, GALLIPOLI 18-7-1915. HE WAS SADLY KILLED IN ACTION ON GALLIPOLI 9-8-1915. HE WAS BORN IN COATBRIDGE, LANARK & ENLISTED IN CARLISLE WHILST LIVING IN WORKINGTON.HE HAS NO KNOWN GRAVE BUT IS COMMEMORATED ON THE HELLES MEMORIAL. HE WAS 35 YEARS OF AGE AT THE TIME OF HIS DEATH AND IS RECORDED BY THE C.W.G.C AS THE LATE HUSBAND OF ANN LAMB (FORMERLY DONNELLY) OF 4 CLAY STREET, WORKINGTON, CUMBERLAND.
