1914 MONS STAR TRIO WITH SLIDE ON AUGUST TO NOVEMBER MONS CLASP TO, 2ND LIEUT / CAPTAIN. W.R.L.PATTERSON.ROYAL SCOTS.FUSILIERS. WILLIAM REGINALD LAMBERT PATTERSON WAS BORN IN NAVAN COUNTY MEATH 4-3-1893 AND WAS COMMISSIONED IN TO THE R.SCOTS.FUS 24-4-1912. HE WAS MOBILISED IN AUGUST 1914 AND PROMOTED TO CAPTAIN IN OCTOBER OF THE SAME YEAR. HE TRANSFERED TO THE ROYAL IRISH RIFLES IN MAY OF 1915.HE WAS DISCHARGED WITH A SILVER WAR BADGE DUE TO ILL HEALTH IN DECEMBER 1917 AND PLACED ON THE RETIRED LIST 20-6-1918. HE WAS CALLED TO THE IRISH BAR IN 1921 AND BECAME A SOLICITOR IN 1930. COMPLETE WITH EXTENSIVE SERVICE PAPERS AND RESEARCH DETAILS.
