GVIR 2ND TYPE CIVIL B.E.M & GVR 1ST TYPE SPECIAL CONSTABULARY FAITHFUL SERVICE MEDAL WITH EXTRA SERVICE CLASP DATED 1941 TO, GEORGE.WAYWELL. THE RECIPIENT WAS BORN IN WARRINGTON 11-6-1884 AND ON THE 1911 CENSUS IS A 25 YEAR OLD SINGLE MALE LIVING IN THE FAMILY HOME AT 11 FOLLY (HOLLY?) LANE, WARRINGTON & WORKING AS A WIRE DRAWER IN A WIRE WORKS ALONG WITH HIS FATHER & HIS 5 BROTHERS. HE WAS AWARDED THE CIVIL BRITISH EMPIRE MEDAL IN THE LONDON GAZETTE 8-6-1950 FOR HIS SERVICES AS A WIRE DRAWER AT RYLANDS BROTHERS IN WARRINGTON. COMPLETE WITH THE ORIGINAL BUCKINGHAM PALACE LETTER OF AWARD & DETAILS FROM BOTH THE CENSUS, THE LONDON GAZETTE & THE 1939 REGISTER.
